There is something about everything

There is something about everything. Never before have we explored the world as much as now , but it is not necessarily an advantage. One's worldview can easily become as complex as I express it in my painting. Perhaps it serves you best to close a little down for this information bombardment to avoid despair of the awareness that the new generation is growing up with this condition as was it the most natural circumstances in the world - It's what is represented by the little child who has the ball in his hands ready to step into the pitch with the initiative in his hands.

Circles

Dansk:

"Circles" was the first painting where I inspired the windows system to compose in circles that randomly overlap in the same way as we know it from our ever-running computer screen.

The painting is composed as a keyhole, which we are allowed to look into. Here's a lady sitting on a chair and going through circle for circle as you go through a rosary. Here, however, there is a circle for a circle of memories and wishes that I can fold into the circles instead of the prayer of the traditional Rosary.

"Circles" became the start of a series, which I call: "Contemporary marriage frieze"

Times of ups and downs

Dansk:

Oil on canvas 75 x 121 cm.

"Through times of ups and downs" is a heavy sentence in the contemporary marriage. Therefore, this painting comes with its theme to fill a lot in the series. The key to each other's interior and the ability to sense when to close or open the doors to each other.

Marie Louise

Dansk::

Marie Louise

Series with our daughter, Marie Louise as inspiration.
The amazing thing about this series of paintings is that I myself, when I'm watching them together as a series become completely amazed about the power I experience in these paintings.  During the processes by creating them, I first saw them as if they were far from good, but by closer acquaintance and now put together as a series, I have no doubt: they are actually a very strong expression of a time our daughter went through.

Titles of the paintings:

1) "Life ain't no dance on roses"
2) " Now it's said "
3) "SMS- me

Life ain't no dance on roses

Dansk:

"Life ain't no dance of roses!" - That's what the artist Håkan Nyström told me in a letter after having seen my first exhibition in 1993 , and through every year that have passed since then I've learned so much how true this statement is: "Life ain't no dance on roses." There are ups and there are downs.
Likewise, I've just been able to tell our 21-year-old daughter, whom we picked up in Hamburg airport after completing her semester at university in Buenos Aires.
It has been a successful half year for her in Buenos Aires so the feeling of loss by saying goodbye to the friends over there was great and overwhelming, as it was overwhelming to come home again after being away from Denmark for half a year. It took her time to capture the basic rytm at home again, and to beginn with, everything just seemed to be chaos and failure, untill she once again captured normal rytm, and life once again turned out to be a succes after all.
These are some of the feelings I've searched expressed in this painting, that from the beginning should have been a normal portrait of Marie Louise.  But as I wasn't satisfied with the painting, I decided to either use it for an experiment or destroy it, and by doing just that, it turned out to be just as finished as it could be: "Life ain't no dance on roses" - Oil on canvas 70 x 60 cm.
